Happy Holidays in October

I am preparing for the 2011 winter holiday season early. My hope is that by the time December rolls around, I will be able to sit back and relax as the rest of you humans scramble about in cold December weather gathering the necessary items for your holiday celebrations.

I cannot share much of what I am working on currently since some of you will be receiving these crafty experiments as gifts, but I can share with you the few decorative items I’ve finished.

Behold the festive items born of my trash piles.

I made the larger wreath from a magazine following this phone book wreath tutorial only I used regular Elmer’s glue instead of hot glue. Adding kusadama flowers to this project really gave the wreath a more interesting look.

The other small wreath is made with 10 aluminum cans. Please visit my other post for how-to links on working with aluminum.

I can’t take credit for the cute little reindeer decorations. My friend Kim made these yesterday during her visit. She’s awesome and so are the little reindeer.

Also I want to thank the ladies from my quilter’s group for the beautiful flowers they gave me for my birthday. 🙂
